friendly staff

i had a great stay at uptown inn, limited service apart-hotel. the location is perfect for anyone wanting to explore hillcrest. It's just a short drive to balboa park. everything was tidy and the staff was incredibly friendly during my three nights there.

The location made exploring San Diego super easy. Hillcrest's vibrant scene is just a short walk away. I had a secure spot for my car. The room had fun wallpaper that really brightened up the space. The bed was surprisingly uncomfortable. I could feel every spring, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. Check-in was smooth, but I expected a bit more from the staff considering some aspects needed attention. Housekeeping missed a few spots, like areas where dust had built up. That said, having a flat-screen TV was a nice bonus to unwind after a long day. I appreciate the effort being put into renovations, but they need to address the noise and comfort levels in the rooms. Overall, decent stay, just needing improvements in comfort and noise management.

Room felt like it could use more attention to cleanliness, but the staff were friendly and the location was prime for exploring Hillcrest. Check-in was quick, but there was some noise from the outside that might bother light sleepers.

This place nails the basics,, like perfect central location and the rooms look updated with fun wallpaper. I parked securely which is crucial,, since it can be a hassle finding parking around here.
